Refuel At Noon: Getting unstuck using mindfulness

Mondays, Sept. 10th, 17th and 24th from 12:10-12:50 p.m.
Evidence shows that mindfulness is effective in reducing stress in various situations such as chronic worrying, fears of failure and dealing with frustration. We will make the time in a quiet, soothing place to observe thoughts and feelings in ways that enhance self-reflection and self-care. Led by Jack Crossen, PhD and Lisa Schimmel, PhD

Finding Focus
Thursday, September 27th from 4-5 p.m.
This group is for those diagnosed with, or suspect they may have, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and would like to learn new strategies to increase concentration, retention and overall ability to focus at school. We will discuss in a group setting what research and your peers have found useful to succeed in school despite having ADD. Dr. Nicole Cirino, the psychiatrist at SHS, will also discuss medications and proper use in the treatment of ADD. Led by Nicole Cirino MD WWW.OHSU.EDU/STUDENT-HEALTH
