Vijay Aggarwal awarded doctorate by Staffordshire University

On 11 July 2012, Mr. Vijay Aggarwal, Chairman Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology SD India, Panipat, awarded an honorary doctorate by the Staffordshire Univeersity, United Kingdom. Prof. Michael Gunn, Vice Chancellor of the university, conferred the award during a ceremony in Tristan State this morning. The Mayor and other official members of the state were also presented on this occasion. The award of Honorary Doctor of Staffordshire University is bestowed upon Mr. Vijay Aggarwal in recognition of his achievements as a visionary educationalist. Unprecedented achievements of S. D. Education Society in the field of education, Mr. Aggarwal as a representative of society received this award. Shri Ishwar Garg, Vice-President and Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Choudhary, Director of APIIT were also presented on this ceremony. I am truly overwhelmed and immensely pleased to be the recipient of such a distinction, Mr. Aggarwal said after receiving his doctorate. He said that S.D. Education Society is a non-profit organisation which has been at the forefront of education in India. APIIT SD has introduced further collaborations with Staffordshire University undergraduate Engineering courses and postgraduate courses in Computing and Business and has also been instrumental in developing more courses. Mr. Aggarwal attributed this achievement to the whole officials of the society and especially to Mr. Ram Niwas Gupta. He said that he served S. D. Vidya Mandir for twelve years under the leadership of Mr. Ram Niwas Gupta. Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology SD INDIA and Staffordshire University have long standing relationships over a decade. The award also recognizes the instrumental role APIIT has played in developing the growing partnership with Staffordshire University and delivering high-quality Higher Education courses. The confirmation of honor and recognition by Staffordshire University will definitely further strengthening the partnership between the two.
