Description of Mr.

Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge is the name of the protagonist of the novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. At the beginning of the novel, Mr. Scrooge is a heartless man, selfish and disgusted by Christmas, children and any other thing that makes happiness. He never spent any money and never gave any away. He was old, an old and lonely miser. In Christmas he came nervier and touchier: while other people were happy because of the forthcoming 25th of December he was angry with all of them. There are too many fools in this world. You say Merry Christmas when youre older and poorer. Thats stupid he said.

As a matter of fact his surname (Scrooge) has become a synonymous of mean and misanthropist in English language, because of the protagonists feature. But the story isnt about his evil but about his sea change after the visit of three spirits of Christmas thanks to he understood the real mean of Christmas and learned to appreciate it well, definitely better than he did up to this moment!
