Emergency Response Flowchart

If you are the first person to detect a fire, pull an alarm. Send word to the command post details about the nature and location of the fire. If you are the first person to detect a code Red, Blue or Black, call ext. 555

(Due to dangerous intruder)

When in Class
Take attendance list with you. Leave by EXIT noted in room. Meet & stay with class. Take attendance again. Note missing students.

When on Lunch/Spare
Meet in the East parking lot

Emergency, Emergency, Emergency Initiate Lockdown


Set up safety plan behind locked door. Turn off lights. Lock door. Remain in position until Principal announces the All Clear.

Await further instructions from Emergency Team.

*Evacuate to St. Francis of Assisi school if requested.

CODE BLUE
(First Aid Situation)

CODE BLACK
(Tornado Warning Response)

With a warning Code Blue to room ###, Code Blue to room ###
Those trained in First Aid immediately go to announced room with First Aid Kit Stay calm and alert for instruction or needed assistance

Without a warning

No matter what floor you're on, you must remember to sit on the floor against the lockers. Be sure to stay away from all staircases and exits.
1st floor -Proceed to hallways in - Phys ed, music/drama, and tech -No one should be in the front foyer or by the exits -Keep corridor doors shut 2nd floor -In hallways, away from all staircases -Safe rooms are 233, 231, 229, 215, 213, 207 3rd floor -Proceed to 2nd floor 3rd floor
-Stay in hallway, away from staircases and room 309 -Safe rooms are 308, 318
