    Date: March 03, 2012 To: General Manager, Admin & HR, Baizid Group, Nasirabad, Chittagong. From: Simul Das, Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Production & Maintenance Department, BSIL & CSS Corporation Ltd. Sir, With due respect I state that after completing one section of the fume extraction system I have found some problems which are given below: 1) Underground line problem 2) Fume comes out in the time of scrap charging 3) Line design problem 4) Man cooler fan high speed

    Discussion: 1) Underground Line Problem: For extracting the fume the main line has passed
    underground in the design. The line always fills with dust and sometimes it is totally filled by water which is a great obstruct to pass the fume. The second thing is that the slag is collecting there after that they broken the slag in there. As a result, the slab on the line was broken which bend the line. So it hasnt work properly. Suggestion: The line has to be clear properly after every one month and the height of the line will be increased from the base. The slag has to be broken outside the shaft.

    2) Fume comes out in the time of scrap charging:
