Homework It is true that education empowers people to be independent and have knowledge to improve their own country.

However, governments should respond to their peoples basic needs before going to prioritize education.

We cannot pay attention to study while we are starving. Therefore, we have to take the economy into account so that people will have something to eat, a home to live in and clothes to wear. Foreign investments, agriculture, garment industries and other types of investment should be encouraged to boost up the employment rate in a country. Cambodia, for instance, has been promoting agriculture as its priority because we have arable land for this sector and the majority of Cambodians are farmers. By doing so, people will have work to do and earn their living standard. Moreover, without health people are not able to use their physical and intellectual ability to develop a country. Being healthy is one of the characteristics of a good leader, so the health sector should be one of the most crucial ones to be prioritized. For example, there are many NGOs which have been trying to help poor Cambodian people especially children who are the future leaders of Cambodia. They have been to rural and poor areas to inform about how to live, eat and drink healthily. Hospitals have been built in almost all provinces to ensure that every Cambodian person can get access to health centre. To sum up, education is not the only aspect to be prioritized in a countrys development. Economy and health sectors also play vital roles because people need to have basic needs before the intellectual need.
