People in america can buy them in the united states in the form of ADRs, that are bought and sold (exchanged) in New York Stock Exchange. Each and every ADR is distributed by a US depository bank and can represent a part of a share, just one share, or several shares of foreign stock. An owner of the ADR has the authority to obtain the foreign share it represents, but United states traders generally find it more convenient simply to own the ADR.
