Goal
This course covers the project management skills, Processes and Knowledge Areas with a strong emphasis on issues and problems associated with delivering successful IT Project
Objectives
1. To provide an introduction to general issues of project management 2. To provide insights into problem solving and persuasive presentation of solutions. 3. To increase awareness of how people work as team members and as individuals
Outcomes
1. Understanding of project management concepts, project process and life cycle 2. Using project management software along with given case study. 3. Analyze, develop /execute and maintain a plan using methods and tools (Establish WBS, time & effort estimates, resource allocation, scheduling and schedule control) 4. Understand concepts of configuration management and change control. 5. Understand the concepts of Quality Assurance and Quality control 6. Define organization structures, position, responsibilities and authority 7. Create document for meeting management and conflict resolution. 8. Discuss concept of teamwork skills in a given project: Exercise management and leadership skills in the conduct of programs and projects of various size, scope, and complexity that may be international in nature.
