September 11, 2012 In an effort to provide a greater variety of literature to our students, we have partnered with the Hazeldean branch of the Ottawa Public Library. On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, the grade 5/6 class will be walking to the Hazeldean branch. The walk is approximately 20 minutes and students are encouraged to dress appropriately for this walk. When arriving at the library, library staff will provide us with an orientation of the policies and resources offered by the OPL. Then, students will have some time to choose a few books for their own enjoyment. Students who do not currently own their own library card have been given a registration package with which to complete before our library visit. These packages are to be submitted to Ms. Izask by Friday, September 14, 2012. We are looking for some volunteers to join us on our walk and library visit. We will be leaving Holy Redeemer at 9:15am and will be returning around 11:10am (for lunch). If you are available, please fill out the information below. Thanks!
