    MEDICAL BOND For the last 20 years it has been observed that Medical students do not honor the pledge given by them to serve in rural areas of Indian upon qualification as doctors. Hence the ministry of Health has asked the students to sign a 100000 rupees bond undertaking to serve in rural areas for a year as a part of internship.
    If they fail to do so, the bond amount will be forfeited. If not the amount will refunded after
    becoming doctor.

    Minister feel that the decision is justified as a sizable of subsidies comes from the state. Doctor Association feel that the order is unjustified as it is a free market economy and the students have to pay hefty fees for securing admission and becoming doctor.
