Bronte School Deputy Heads Newsletter

14th September 2012 Firstly, I would like to say well done to those pupils in Year 6 who sat their 11+ tests this week. They have worked hard on the build-up to these and I am sure they are relieved that they are now finished! We have had a super response so far to the new drama taster sessions (3 weeks of drama and 3 weeks of musical theatre), so if you are interested but havent signed up yet get your son/daughters name on the list quickly as the slots are filling up fast. It was great to see another ex-pupil pop into school this week to let us know of their A-Level success. Congratulations to Lucille Golson who has gained a place at the University of Westminster to study human and medical science. You can see below a picture of some children enjoying the new snakes & ladders board which was put up this week. We have some amazing treatments, including Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Manicures (including Artistic Gel nails), Eyebrow Threading, Thai Foot Massage and Reflexology, all at reasonable prices. As soon as you have purchased your ticket you can pre-book your appointments. For further details contact Mrs Dyson or Mrs Gordon.

We have been contacted by our neighbour, Watling Tyres, to ask that Bronte parents do not use their forecourt as a turning circle, or to park their vehicles. If you could please respect their wishes it would be appreciated. I would also like to politely remind you that children should not be dropped and left unattended by the back gate before it is open and manned by a member of staff, usually at about 8.30am. This is, of course, for the childrens safety. We are now collecting the Morrisons school vouchers again, so if you or your family/friends shop there we would be grateful to receive any vouchers that you accumulate.

Tickets are now available for the Ladies Pamper Evening on Friday 19th October. They are 2.50 each if bought in advance.
