    Update- 20 September Dear parentsTomorrow is a professional development day for teachers, and students are excited to have a day

    off school! Next week starts our series of MAP standardized testing. Your student will have a series of 3 tests, 1 in Math, and 2 in Language Arts, over the next three weeks. Also, our Classroom Without Walls trip will depart next Thursday, and return on Friday afternoon. We are requesting that students use the packing list and bring a small bag only. There is limited storage space on the buses. Next week in English: We are getting to the revision stage on our personal narrative writing. Students will continue with revision and editing, with a view to publishing their narratives the week after CWW. Our last Book Club meeting is on Wednesday, September 26th. Students have been working hard on discussion behaviors, asking questions, and using reading strategies. Next week in Social Studies: From the pictures above, you can see we have been having some fun doing skits to gain greater comprehension about different types of governments! We will have a short review of economic systems as well, and will be having a quiz on
