Opening America's Archives: Using Primary Sources Across Disciplines Regional Teacher-Training Workshops

These FREE workshops will introduce educators to the digital collections of the Library of Congress, the Georgia Historical Society, as well as other repositories across Georgia. Participants will also discuss tips, tools, and techniques for engaging students in exploration and study of primary sources to meet CCGPS. Following the workshops, GHS will provide online access to primary source sets developed by GHS staff and classroom tasks and activities created by workshop participants. Eligible participants include pre and in-service 8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teachers as well as Media Specialists.
