Parents are responsible for transporting their own children and can volunteer to chaperone if they have had a background check and VIRTUS training. The cost is $5 per child and $4.50 per adult. Students will go on a hayride, pick pumpkins, have pumpkin snacks, see farm animals, learn how pumpkins grow, and play in straw.

    Preschool Field Trip Post Family Farm

    Dear Parents, We are taking a field trip to Post Family Farms on Thursday, October 18th. This trip will go along with our pumpkin theme in October. We will be learning about pumpkins and visiting the pumpkin patch they have at their farm! On this day, there will be no regular preschool. The field trip will take the place of our regular class. Both classes, morning and afternoon, will go on the field trip together at the same time. The field trip will take place from 9:15 until approximately 10:30/10:45. We will need to arrive there by 9:00 to check in. Due to car seat laws, parents are responsible for transporting their own children to and from field trips. Please feel free to carpool with other parents if you wish! We would love to have you stay and chaperone, or you may come back and pick up your child at the end of the trip. Also, please remember that in order to be a volunteer/chaperone in our school you must have had a background check (provided free of charge through our school office) and have had the VIRTUS training as is stated in the school parent handbook. If you have not yet had the VIRTUS training, you must at least be sighed up for a session and plan on attending one. The sessions offered are listed each week in the all school newsletter that is sent home. The price of the field trip is $5.00 per child and $4.50 for adults. I need to send in the confirmation in soon, so please let me know if you are attending and have your money for the trip turned in no later than Thursday, October 6th. Here is what we will do on our trip!

    Go on a hayride and pick pumpkins Have a snack of homemade pumpkin donuts and a glass of cider Visit with farm animals Learn how pumpkins grow with a story that the children help act out Have fun playing in the straw

    The address of the farm is: 5081 Bauer Road , Hudsonville, MI 49426 We will plan on meeting at the farm at 9:00. I will be leaving school by 8:00 for anyone who wants to meet there and caravan.
