Canada is located in the northern of the American Continent while France is a western European country. Their capital cities are Toronto and Paris, respectively.

The country of France is characterized by the unitary semi-presidential republic type of government while Canada is characterized by federal parliamentary democratic government and constitutional monarchy.

The official language of France is French whereas the official languages in Canada are English and French. Canada occupies a total area of about 3,854,085 square miles whereas the total area of France is about 260,558 square miles. Canada has a population of about 34,352,000 whereas France has a population of about 65,821,885.

France is characterized by a temperate climate and oceanic with a high level of rainfall, mild winters and warm summers.
Canada on the other hand is characterized by average winter and summers with high temperatures. Winters can be very cold in certain parts of Canada.

As far as economy is concerned Canada is one of the worlds wealthiest nations with a high per capita income. It is true that Canada is one of the worlds top ten trading nations. Canada is the worlds largest suppliers of agricultural products and the chief producer of zinc and uranium.

On the other hand France has a mixed economy which is a combination of private enterprises and government sectors. Frances economy is triggered by railways, aircraft, nuclear power, telecommunications and electricity. Like Canada France too is a chief producer of agricultural products. Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles are two of the most visited places in France. TGV railway network is famous in France. Canada is known for its visual arts and music industry.
