TASK SIX: Music Magazine Research Music Magazines How are they shown in a shop?

Think about the layout of the front covers and how good branding is paramount to attract the target audience. TASK: Go into a news agent / supermarket etc and take pictures of music magazines on the stands. Then use the photos to discuss the following; How many music magazines are on sale? How many different genres? What is the positioning of the music magazines? Who is at the front of the stand and at the back etc. What part of the magazine is on show the most? Why do you think this? How clear is the name of the magazine? Is the price clear? Which part is shown the least? What do you notice about the positioning of the major artists? Can you discuss the eyes and why these are important? Now think about making your own music magazines what have you learnt that you will now use?

E Work will be complete. Attempts will be made to complete the grid and video and they will be uploaded to the blog.
