    This information is intended for the person in your organization who is responsible for working
    with NSLDS. If that is not you, please forward this update to the appropriate person.

    Fiscal Year 1998 Cohort Default Rate Calculations

    NSLDS will calculate official fiscal year 1998 cohort default rates on August 12, 2000. In order
    to complete the process and provide you with the correct data, please note the following:

    • Provide NSLDS with all changes that may affect these rates prior to August 12, 2000.

    • Any required updates to borrower records must be a part of your Guaranty Agency’s
    regular monthly submittal.

    • NSLDS will not be able to accommodate special Guaranty Agency submissions.
