A MEETING of the Parades Commission ended last night without the expected determination on an Ulster Covenant centenary feeder parade being issued. Any restrictions imposed on the parade past St Patricks Catholic Church in north Belfast on Saturday will not
now be known until this morning at the earliest. It is understood a determination on the Orange Order demonstration had been agreed by the time the meeting concluded at around 7.30pm. However, the exact wording was still being finalised before in line with normal protocol a copy of the determination was delivered to the
parade organisers. The Donegall Street church has been the focus of tensions between the Order and local residents since disorder followed a Royal Black Institution parade on August 25. That incident was preceded by nationalist complaints over the behaviour of a loyalist band outside St Patricks on July 12. Turn to page 8
