BMF: What do you hope to do when you finish college? Mario: I would like to do a masters degree in fisheries and the environment. BMF: What words of encouragement would you give younger students in Vialet? Mario: Study so that tomorrow can be different and so that we can bring change through Bos Manold Fund. BMF: What do you remember most about your father? Mario: I remember all the wise advice he would give me and how he encouraged me in school. BMF: What gives you hope in Haiti? Mario: More and more youth are studying and have the will to bring change to Haiti. BMF: What would you do if you were president of Haiti? Mario: If I were president I would change the system so that people believed in Haiti. I would also invest in things Haiti needs such as education, health, and infrastructure.
TUTORING SUCCESS
MARCELINS REPORT CARD, SHOWING STEADILY IMPROVING GRADES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
We are very proud of the success of our students this year; 92% of BMF students passed their classes, much higher than the national average. Much of this success is a direct result of our tutoring program. Board member Nate Stitziel worked with Jimmy Forest, our in-country manager, to find and contract with XXXXX to provide tutoring to our students. While this is a great result, we at BMF believe that a 100% pass rate is achievable. Our tutoring program, focused strategic plan, and ongoing computer class coupled with our students work ethic all contribute to their success. Our goal is to see them all finish at the top of their classes and optimize their potential for success.
