Advantages: - More people can do their share in doing the household chores - Whenever a member gets into trouble, he or she can talk with other members and may get a lot of useful advices from people of all generations - You can learn things from the previous generations - There are always babysitters available for the younger children. - Clothes and other things can be shared.

Disadvantages: - The house gets too crowded with many family members - There is a lot of arguing and conflicts. - Sometimes it can become a financial burden for the working generation. - Privacy - Some people are just unable to live with their older generation due to personal differences - Inconvenient habit of living for generations
