Momentum is a commonly used term in sports. A team that has the momentum is on the move and is going to take some effort to stop. A team that has a lot of momentum is really on the move and is going to be hard to stop. Momentum is a physics term; it refers to the quantity of motion that an object has. A sports team that is on the move has the momentum. If an object is in motion (on the move) then it has momentum. Example: a truck has full capacity more difficult to stop than a car has few capacity although their velocity is same. Why? In physics definition, momentums truck bigger than momentums car. We know that, momentum is product from mass time velocity. Mass is a scalar and velocity is a vector, so momentum is a vector. In terms of an equation, the momentum of an object is equal to the mass of the object times the velocity of the object. Momentum = mass velocity

In mathematics solution is

Where, is the momentum (kgms-1), = the mass (kg), and = the velocity (ms-1). The equation illustrates that momentum is directly proportional to an object's mass and directly proportional to the object's velocity.

B. IMPULSE In the daily activities, when we kick a silent ball. Although interaction of our foot with the ball is at the moment but the ball can move with a specific velocity. In definition of momentum, in the ball has a change momentum because there is a force which have give in a break specific time. These force is implusif force. In

mathematics, we can write

Where, = impulse (kgms-1 or Ns),

= force (N), and

= change of time (s). Value of with time .

mpulse can look for from the figures connection between force

Implusif force which is work in a thing is zero when

. Then, these force moves at

maximum value and the end decrease again quickly at zero when . Because the implusif force of the wides area in the down curve equal with athe wides square. If the force which have give in thing is a linear function, impulses thing equal with wides area in down curve function force to time. Look at this figure,

From that figure, we know the force inversely proportional to change time.
