Faithful Fourth Graders

CAJ: Equipping students to impact the world for Christ


Language Arts:
This weeks spelling words are two-syllable words: tablet, credit, invent, contact, success, dentist, insect, comment, solid, suggest, product, until, cactus, traffic, progress. We will be wrapping up the book A Taste of Blackberries this week. The students will make their original book cover as their final project. Daily 4: We have finally started working on all four parts of the Daily 4. Students have a choice of read to self, work on writing, work work, and listen to reading. Ask your child what they enjoy doing the most during Daily 4. made by the hands of men. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see; they have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Units:
Students will continue to work on the industry they chose and will finish it this week. We will discuss Japan depends on other countries in two ways: 1) to buy raw materials (natural resources), and 2) as customers.

Math:
This week we will finish Unit 1 and review various geometric concepts and terminology. The next unit is Unit 3 Multiplication & Division: Number Sentences & Algebra.

10/2 Bible test on Philippians (postponed from 9/27) 10/5 Bible memory work test 10/8 Fall Break - no school 10/9 Math test (Unit 1) 10/11 Parents in Prayer (8:30-9:30 in the PTA room) 10/11 Singing chapel at 8:30 in the Auditorium 10/19 Thrift Shop (students dismissed at 12:00)

Bible:
This week we will begin Unit 2: The Bible. We will discuss what the Bible is and about the importance of studying it using a skit. Memory work: Psalm 135: 15-18 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
