We are Celebrating National Pit Bull Awareness Day! Saturday, October 27, 2012
Cape May County, New Jersey, joins others around the country in celebrating the American Pit Bull Terrier. Our festivities and fundraising activities will call attention to the loyal and loving nature of Pit Bulls. We invite you to participate in an absolutely barking art exhibit!
We are calling for artists nationwide to enter the first-ever, Its the Pits Art Exhibition. Here are the rules. Media accepted: paintings, photographs, collage, mixed media, and sculpture. Size: Paintings, and mixed media, no larger than 36 in any direction. Photographs 8x10 or 8x12. Framing: Paintings and must be framed or gallery-wrapped, ready to hang. Sale: All artwork will be for sale. Gallery proceeds will go to the Animal Alliance of Cape May County. Submission: Application and high resolution image of work must be received via email by Oct 20, 2012. Email submissions to Joan DAvanzo at joanbob11@verizon.net. Notification of acceptance will be emailed to Artist by October 23, 2012. Delivery: Work must delivered to the Gail Pierson Gallery on October 25, 2012, between Noon and 5 pm. Images of work accepted in the exhibition will be used for credited promotion in print and online. A reception will be held on October 27, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Gail Pierson Gallery.
