Evaluation of the meeting with Dan and Luke

Our sketches, ideas and challenges.

We wanted to emphasis on that social change that may happen, that is why Luke agreed to have that set, as it has a specific connotations to the main idea we have.

The backstage set design was met fine by Luke and Dan. There were problems with it as we have 3 different set designs overall, which is quite a lot for only one group. However, as that part of the set is the key one for the narrative we have, we agreed on having it. The main thing is that we are going to have the girls being undressed gradually through the video (from the makeup to a natural look). There is a specific purpose for it, as we want for the audience to see that after all those parties people do not perceive other people as they are, and that beautiful appearance may ruin your personality.

We wanted to have a circle stage in order to have a possibility to film it around(from the back and sides), however this is going to be to big to fit all 5 girls performing, and therefore wont fit in the studio.

So, Luke and Dan said they would prefer us to have round half stage, and the white backdrop on the background. Additionally , it might be only one level up, and the second one will be created with the help of the floor. Additionally, to make the shots more diverse, we decided to maybe shot the girls without the musical instruments at all, or maybe have a drummer on the pedestal and other girls posing around the stage.

At first, we wanted to have a catwalk, but it would be very difficult to make it realistic as we dont have the real models but only students, so Luke gave a great piece of advise to make a photo-shoot instead. It will still have the same connotations we wanted our audience to see. We will make the girls look natural with no make up, and wearing their casual clothes(jeans and white shirts). They will be posing, laughing, dancing and singing.. This location will literally need our lights in the shot, and white background.
