    Is this the last Straw?

    The data in India shows that many politicians and their kin get rich quick. Land, real estate and unsecured loans seem to be the tools used with unsecured loans replacing straight cash payments. The problem in real estate is compounded by the common man wanting to avoid paying registration fees and/or capital gains tax leading to vast amounts of black money in real estate. Is this hoping for too much or could the Vadra-DLF case be the tipping point to find many more such politician/business nexus deals. The deals should all be reversed people/companies fined, punished etc and safeguards put in place such that this get rich quick method for politicians and their kin is minimized. It will then be less attractive to use money power to enter politics. Most of us already know this but citizens of India under estimate their power and allow themselves to be exploited. I hope this time around Vadra-DLF is the straw that breaks the camels back.
