DEEZER UK TO CELEBRATE 1ST BIRTHDAY WITH SENSATIONAL PARTY IN LONDON

Deezer, one of the worlds premier music streaming services, will celebrate its 1st birthday in the UK with a special party at Londons Hospital Club this Wednesday 10 October. The night will feature live performances from Deezers specially curated line-up Villagers (exclusive acoustic performance), Slow Club and The Staves. The exclusive gig will be streamed online around the world allowing Deezer users in 91 territories to watch the performances live on www.deezer.com or from their mobile phones on m.deezer.com from 18:30 - 20:00 GMT on Wednesday 10 October. Their debut album Becoming a Jackal scored several award nominations including the Mercury Prize and the title track won an Ivor Novello Award for the Best Song Musically and Lyrically. A new album, {Awayland} is due out in January. Sheffield boy-girl duo Slow Club are defined by sweet harmonious hooks and rockabilly beats. Their second studio album Paradise, released in September last year, generated widespread praise from music critics for its melodic and lyrical sensibility combined with bold and dark tones. Folk rock newcomers The Staves are adored for their beautiful harmonies, acoustic gentleness and flawless sound. Their debut album Dead & Born & Grown is due for release next month.
