Location Notes

Location notes: Small warehouse/shed Why did we decide to use this location?
There are many reasons why we decided to use this small warehouse/shed for the shooting of our opening sequence. We carried out research into the Thriller themed films and noticed that warehouses are repeatedly used for torture scenes or spy scenes. A film that used a similar location in a different size is Saw we realized that the smaller the location, the more creative shots can be used. This dull, abandoned venue portrays the tension we would like the audience to feel. Also the lack of lighting from the outside is an advantage as is joins with the Thriller genre. The small shed/storage room also consists of industrial equipment such as tools, boxes, cobwebs and floodlights. This location may also be referred to as a typical Thriller location but it connotes all the Thriller elements needed in our opening sequence. The locations surrounds are also at our advantage as it is surrounded by overgrown grass. This goes along with our setting, which is very rough and unpredictable. Extra lighting will also be used in this location such as floodlights and red up lighting connoting danger and negativity.
