ICE FORMATION LAYER BY LAYER

COMPLETE ICE FORMATION Water is injected from the water jet on the inverted ice tray. Evaporator coils are placed over the ice tray. Water starts cooling and form ice layer by layer. In this air bubbles and impurities are not allowed to remain in the ice due to ice tray being inverted. Hence we get a clear and transparent ice.

WATER IS POURED IN THE ICE TRAY

ICE TRAY IS ROTATED AND WATER IS FORCED OUTWARDS.ICE IS FORMED AND AIR BUBBLES IS FORCED INSIDE TOWARDS THE HOLLOW PORTION Water is first poured into the ice tray, and then ice tray is rotated by motor. Due to the centrifugal action water is forced outwards. Thus there a hollow portion is formed. Water is cooled to form ice. As water freezes air bubbles and impurities are forced towards the hollow portion.

3. IMPROVED DESIGN OF ICE TRAYPOROUS MATERIAL FOR ABSORBING AIR & IMPURITIES

WORKING-

ICE FORMATION

Water is poured into the ice tray and left for freezing. Ice is formed outside to inside so it pushes air bubbles and impurities towards the center while freezing. Porous material absorbs air bubbles and impurities thus leaving clear ice.

AFTER SOME TIME MORE ICE FORMATION TAKES PLACE WITH INCREASE IN CUBE HEIGHT

GROWTH OF ICE LAYER Water is poured from a water feeder in the form of drops so that ice formation takes place layer by layer. As soon as water drops on the ice tray it freezes thus air bubbles are forced into the air above the ice. This continues till the whole ice cube is formed.
