From Thinking to Thanking

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

Thankfulness is the way to come to meet God and through these open gates of thanksgiving He walks with us revealing to us the fullness of His plans and purposes for our lives.

Psalm 100:4, Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Apostles Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

In order to be thankful, we must think about the way God has blessed us and be mindful to give Him the credit for every good thing in our lives. A good way to remember to be thankful is to practice doing thankful acts. Everyone eats food so if we practice being thankful at mealtime we can develop the habit of giving thanks for His many other blessings. It is easy to see the beauty of His creation and He says because we have seen and experienced His goodness, we will not be excused for the sinfulness of being unthankful.

But I shall receive power when the Holy Ghost is come upon me. Acts 1:8 I am filled with the Holy Ghost, and I spoke the Word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31 Satan will not outsmart me. I am very familiar with his evil schemes. II Corinthians 2:11
