LEAGUE RULES

Throughout the League period a number of Stableford competitions will be selected by each league captain. The minimum requirement shall be 5 Stableford competitions although there is no limit to the number of games that can be designated as League qualifiers. For example; a league could nominate 6,7,8 qualifying games and select the best 5 scores. These competitions will be open to all members with handicaps of 0 28 (male) & 0 -36 (female). Players may compete in as many leagues as they wish, although they can only represent one in the final. If a player wins two different leagues then it is the sole choice of that player to select the league they represent. In the situation that a player wins a division but cannot play in the finals, then the second placed player will represent that league. There will be two handicap divisions for each league (based on exact handicaps) Division 1: 0 18.4 Division 2: 18.5 28 (Male) & 36 (female)

Players will remain within their original division, irrespective of handicap changes during the league period. The winners of each division will be determined from the best five accumulated stableford points from the number of qualifying competitions selected. Qualifying members are those who complete a minimum of five competitions Each division must have a minimum of six qualifying players Each league must have a minimum of 16 qualifying players For leagues with 16 to 40 players, one winner from each division will be created For leagues with more than 20 players in each division, two winners from each division will be created In the event of a tie the lower handicap player wins CL Golf League Committee will form the disciplinary body to which all complaints will be addressed. The Rules of Golf as defined by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews will form the parameters under which the leagues are played. In all matters the committees decision is final.
