Dr. Cathleen S. Fisher, President of the American Friends of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She has been engaged in transatlantic and German-American relations for over 25 years and joined American Friends in 2008 as Executive Director. Jeff Rosenberg has worked in international radio news broadcasting for most of his career. As Director of National Public Radio Worldwide, he shaped the expansion of NPR in the international broadcasting sphere in the 1990s. He played a leading role in establishing NPR Berlin in 2006. Professor Dr. Thomas Straubhaar, Director of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) and Professor of Economics at the University of Hamburg. In 2009 Professor Straubhaar was awarded the Helmut Schmidt Fellowship of the ZEIT Foundation at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington, DC. Andreas Cichowicz, Editor-in-chief of NDR TV and the long-time moderator of the Weltspiegel, a popular TV news show focusing on international issues. He has won numerous awards as an editor, including the RIAS TV Award in 2011 for Die lange Obama-Nacht.
