TD Scholarships for Community Leadership

The TD Scholarship for Community Leadership rewards students who have shown leadership in many areas including environmental cleanup, the promotion of social justice, and the fight against child poverty, to name just a few.

Who is eligible?
Students in their final year of high school Have demonstrated outstanding community leadership Obtain a minimum overall average in their most recently completed full year of high school of 75% (grade 11)

Whats the award?

Each scholarship is valued at up to $70,000 and includes: Up to $10,000 for tuition per year $7,500 a year toward living expenses Plus Paid summer employment Mentorship opportunities Invitations to annual gatherings, networking opportunities and events

Whats required in the application?

A complete application requires the following: An application form, fully completed and signed Three copies of an essay of up to 600 words describing your community leadership involvement A letter of recommendation from an official at your school (teacher, principal, guidance counsellor) Two letters of support or confirmation from the community group, groups or individuals who have been the focus of your involvement A transcript of your academic record

Completed applications and supporting materials must be received no later than DECEMBER 7, 2012.
