Monday, October 22, 2012 On Wednesday, October 31st, the grade sixes will be travelling to the Bill Mason centre as part of their Biodiversity unit (science). During this day, students will make their way around the forest (with maps) looking for specially marked trees. Once they find the trees, it is their job to use a dichotomous key to identify them. They will also be using their knowledge to explore the biodiversity, interrelationships, vertebrates, invertebrates and invasive species that can be found at the centre. Details: Students will be bused to and from Bill Mason centre There is no additional monetary cost for the students to participate Students should bring a bag lunch, snacks, and a water bottle (in a backpack) Students should dress appropriately for outdoor exploration (check the weather!!!) Please note that students are asked not to bring electronic equipment such as radios, ipod/mp3 players, cell phones, psp/game-boy devices, etc. Please detach and return the form below by Friday, October 26th indicating your permission for your child to attend the field trip to the Bill Mason centre Thanks!
