Our Workshop Newsletter : : Spring 2009

Happy New Year. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make The
Wizard of Oz such a huge success. We have had some fantastic feed-back and
are so proud of everyone. Production photos are now available to order and
you can check them out here: www.themaninthemoon.co.uk/photos. As well as our Trinity Exams we
have some exciting workshops in store this term with lots of new activities to stretch the imagination and
build your drama skills. We look forward to seeing you soon!

We’re delighted to announce that our Christmas Thursday 15 to Saturday 18 April

Production will be J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan. This is
a brand new production that we have never staged
before. Auditions will be on Sunday 21 June at
Lockwood Day Centre in Guildford.
Full details will be available from April. You can
either pick some up at workshop or download
them from our website. This is the only audition
date for the production - please keep it free.
Our exciting Easter production will be Roald
Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox.
Tickets are now on sale from the Box Office on
01483 444789 from £7 with a great value family
ticket from £26. You can also save up to £2.50 per
ticket if you book by Sunday 22 February.

drama day camps

Our Drama Day Camps are an exciting way to help your child shine. Children make
new friends, work as part of a team, grow in confidence and concentration, and build social
and verbal skills. Our exciting Horrible History themes, improvisations, role-play, games,
movement and craft projects are all designed to help the imagination run free - a dramatic
adventure to remember forever.

There are adventures during both the Easter and Summer school holidays and you can
check out our website for more details. Prices start from just £22 for a single day
and you can save even more by booking more than one child or adventure.

To achieve your lunar level
you must wear your MIM
hoodie and come to at least 7
out of 10 workshops during the
term.
You must wear trousers or
shorts (no skirts) to workshop.
You may also like to bring a
bottle of water. We do not
allow squash, fruit juice, fizzy
drinks or snacks at workshop.
We always welcome
feedback. If there is anything
that you would like to talk
about, please do not hesitate to
get in touch.
If you pick up late we reserve
the right to make a charge of
£15 per child. Please
remember that you must also
come into the venue to collect
your child.

year book
We're putting the final touches to our first
ever year book to celebrate our 18th
Birthday. There is still plenty of opportunity to
get involved so make sure that you do miss
this last chance. Year books will be available
from the beginning of May.
