Description of the camera angles The canted angle is when the camera is titled to create or suggest imbalance, transition and instability. This is used a lot in the horror film genre. Canted angle is used to suggest point of view shots; this is when the camera becomes the eyes of the character. The camera is positioned as though it is a human actually observing a scene, so that the actors heads are on a level with the focus. The camera will be placed approximately five to six from ground Birds eye view shows a scene from directly overhead, a very unnatural and strange angle. Eye Level
Low Angle
Low angles help give a sense of confusion to the audience, of powerlessness within the action of a scene. The background of a low adding to the disorientation of the audience. The added height of that object may inspire insecurity and fear on the audience watching.
High Angle
The high angle is not as extreme as birds eye view. The camera is elevated above the action this is done with a crane to give a general view. High angles are used to make an object or character look and feel insignificant. The object or character becomes absorbed with the background creating a wider picture
