School and District Data McIntosh County Academy is located near Darien, GA appx. 1 hour south of Savannah. Serves Grades 9-12 642 F.T.E. students 27 Certified with all teachers Highly Qualified Title 1 School District and Title 1 School 42 Special Education students (194 SPED students for entire district)

Media Center Data Media 3,200 square feet (If the Demand Lab, teachers workroom, conference room, server/MDF Closet and Textbook Room Follett Circ Plus indicate LMC has 5,342 current Records (4,780 are books)

90% of faculty and just less than 70% of student respondents considered the number one problem with the LMC its size Other responses include the lack of versatility of the LMC

The LMC already shares a wall with two classrooms. Both adjacent classrooms are currently used as computer labs Classroom #1 used only as an overflow lab New Construction beginning in 2013

Addition of 2,600 square feet to main LMC Commons and Stacks

Adding a significant amount of group work and collaborative space

Addition of 2 dual-purpose classrooms Testing facility High-Stakes Test Prep for student input device testing

Addition of video editing/graphics art lab adjacent to new arts classroom
