The race for U.S. Senate between Richard Mourdock and Joe Donnelly remains very competitive, with both candidates receiving 44% of the vote, followed by Andrew Horning who receives 6% and 4% who remain undecided. The political environment continues to be very favorable to the Republicans, as Mitt Romney leads President Obama, 55% to 41%. Methodology: This statewide survey of political attitudes was conducted among 600 likely general election voters th th in Indiana on October 24 and 25 , 2012. All interviews were conducted by professional interviewers via telephone. Interview selection was at random within predetermined election units. These units were structured to statistically correlate with actual general election voter turnout in Indiana.
