MAYOR TO JOIN AMCAL TO CELEBRATE OPENING OF NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX
WHAT: Mayor Jerry Sanders will join representatives from AMCAL Multi-Housing, Inc. as well as Council President Pro Tem Kevin Faulconer and Councilmember Todd Gloria in celebrating the grand opening of the newest affordable housing complex in San Diego. Mission Apartments will consist of 84 affordable rental units restricted to families earning up to 60% of the area median income. The development is located north of downtown near the airport and replaces a parking lot adjacent to the historic Mission Brewery. The project is the second affordable housing project in San Diego that AMCAL has built the first was Los Vientos in Barrio Logan, which replaced under-utilized industrial space and helped contribute to the revitalization of the Barrio Logan community.
