VERBO TO BE
The verb TO BE, in Spanish translates as SER o ESTAR, in the English language has a particular importance. Its meaning depends on the meaning of prayer.

PRESENTE SIMPLE

EXAMPLE: I am a lawyer. You are a painter. They are not in class of mathematics. What is your name? How old are you? We are not in your birthday. I am a student. You are happy. He is John. She is in the car. It is a hot day. We are David's parents. You are from Madrid. They are ours.

PASADO SIMPLE

EXAMPLE: He was my friend when I was twelve years old. I wasnt at school at half past eleven. Were they at home yesterday?

I was not very happy last week. Were you in class this afternoon?
