A RESOLUTION CONCERNING Judicial Elections WHEREAS: Judicial elections detract from the nature and function of the judicial system, and; Judges should be removed from partisan politics, and; The politicized and monetized process of elections is not conducive to the running of a fair and functional judiciary.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Maryland Student Legislature urges the State of Maryland to pass an amendment to the Maryland Constitution that would eliminate partisan judicial elections.
