Keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KCOT) is a non-inflammatory development odontogenic cystic tumor with pathognomic histopathologic features.

It represent itself as a distinctive entity amongst other odontogenic cystic pathologies because of its exceedingly high recurrence rate ,as well as in association with jaw cyst Basal Cell Nevus Bifid Rib Syndrome ( Gorlin - Goltz syndrome)
