Dragons Den County Final [8 November 2012]

After the successful and highly competitive school final, the following two teams made it through to the County Final. Team Bottom Line: Chosen charityDogs for the Disabled Team members: Jodie Minett, Leah Phillips, Megan Thomas, Keira Manuel, Amy Balsdon Aimee Griffiths, Kristian Antrobus. Sparks Fly: Chosen charity Teenage Cancer Trust Team members: Sarah Williams, Bryony Foley, Chloe Donoghue, Amy Downey, Charlotte Thompson, Charlotte OConnor, Jenna Edmunds.

The event started at 9.30am and ended at 2:00pm. Both teams worked hard on improving their performance but were hindered by being the first two teams to present their fund-raising projects to both Dragons and other teams from Bishop Hedley, Pen-Y-Dre and Cyfarthfa High Schools. There were ten teams in total. Prizes for Best Finance, Best Presentation Best Idea, Best Marketing, runner-up and overall winner. Both our teams were well presented and performed exceptionally well against stiff opposition. When prizes were awarded, Bottom Line, the team whose chosen charity was Dogs for the Disabled, were awarded Best Idea for their Event which involved a Bushtucker Trial. Our students behaved exceptionally well and were a credit to Afon Tf. Well done to everyone.
