Direct Instruction: This is where you teach the main content of the lesson. Explain the main concepts listed in the essential content portion of this plan and how they are related. This is teacher-centered instruction. Guided Practice: Under your supervision, the students are given a chance to practice and apply the skills you taught them through direct instruction. You can introduce technology here. Independent Practice: The students apply the skills you taught on their own, using technology in some form or fashion. Students can work in pairs or groups here. Group Discussions There will be group discussions during class after each lesson, and I would post question on Google doc so the students can work on them as a group. Class Blog on Weebly On our class blog there will be mini quizzes for each student to work on for extra points and I will post the questions regarding the videos they watch during class.
