CONCLUSION: Integral Control another name half cycle control involve fewer switching operation that phase control. As a result less distorted of current integral control, phase control is suitable to apply for large load constant, such as a heating load with large thermal time constant. In integral control frequency of the load current is the same as AC main frequency.
