SORT EXAMPLE FOR SORT # 9

This week we are focusing on words that have the Silent e attached to the end of the word. When the Silent E is attached to the end of the word the vowel sound switches from short to long. It is very important for your child to learn this concept. Make sure they always look at the end of the word FIRST so they can decide which cound the vowel will make when sounding out the word. This is a tricky concept and we will work on it for the next 2 weeks.
