Kuala Berang, Saturday Five boys from Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Bading were found by the Police and the Fire and Rescue team in Bukit Golan area. The boys, aged 12, went to the forest to look for some plants for their science project, set by Pn. Lailesun. The headmaster, M.Nasir, and the boys parents called the police when they did not return home by 7 oclock in the evening.. The police went into the forest to look for the boys. After searching for five hours, the police could not find the boys. They only found the boys belongings under a tree. It was past midnight and they still could not locate them. The police then asked the Fire and Rescue Academy at Wakaf Tapai for help. Inspector Rosli stopped the search temporarily to reorganize and divide the area of search. With more men, they continued the search early morning the next day. The combed the neighbouring hills too. At the end of the day, they found the boys half awake under a tree. They were dead tired. They went through the night without any sleep because they were very scared and kept walking. They drank from small streams and ate wild rambutans. The boys apologized to their parents and their headmaster for the trouble they caused. They also thanked the rescuers for their precious help.
