Crispin Analysis

IntroductionThe book Crispin, the Cross of Lead, explains the story of a very poor boy who get his freedom in medieval England. Crispin is a 13 year old boy who has spent his whole life in Stomford and was the poorest of the pour, until he's being blamed for committing a crime he never committed and is forced to leave the village. When on the run he meets many new people and gained his freedom. Crispin became who he was because of his experiences. Paragraph 2, Stromford Astas son lives his whole life in Stromford. He lived there with his mother,that died when he was 13. His whole life he had no name, he was just known as Astas son because his mothers name was Asta. He and his mother live in a little houses made out of sticks. He thought he was a sinner because hes christian religion and because he goes to a catholic church. He also he been teased by the other villagers and hno friends. The only person who was Crispins friend was Father Quinel , the priest. His whole life he was a farmer working on the fields with his pet ox. He had also got the cross of lead from Father Quinel. Paragraph 3, RunningJohn Aycliffe blamed Crispin for stealing something from the manor house that he didnt. When he was running away from John Aycliffe he ran by father Quinel who was lying dead, for the reset of the night Crispin just wanted to die. Later that night he was
