AO1 EXAM QUESTIONS

AO1 questions ask you to describe, explain and analyse using your knowledge and understanding. 50% of the paper will contain AO1 questions. As AO1 questions ask you to describe and explain you simply need to PEEL!

AO1 Mark scheme: This is for the Describe and Explain questions
1 P 2 PP 3 PE PE 4 PEE PEE 5 PEE PEE 6 PEE PEE PEE A simple sentence relating to the question. Two simple points which are starting to link to religion or philosophy. Two points which give clear examples that link to the question. Two points supported by religious teachings or concepts and explained back to the question. You are using key terms and concepts related to the subject. Two points supported by religious teachings or concepts and explained back to the question. You are using key terms and concepts related to the subject. You are also showing that there is diversity of opinion and belief within the subject matter. You are doing all of the above and an additional PEE statement. Your answer has a logical and coherent flow throughout.
