Letter of Recommendation

I know Lakshman V Muddu for the last four years and he has taken many finance and control area courses under me during his FPM programme in Finance & Control at our institute. He has earlier done his B. Tech from the well-known Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University JNTU and has also done his Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers [CAIIB] and Chartered Financial Analyst [CFA]. His performance both at the undergraduate and graduate levels is very good. He has over 25 years of professional experience in Commercial banking with SBI where he joined as a probationary officer in 1982 and his last position was that of Chief Manager. After completing his Doctoral Programme he is currently working as Associate Professor in the Centre for Economics and Finance at Administrative Staff College [ASCI] at Hyderabad a premier Business school of India. I remember him as one of the hard working students with an eye for details. His performance in finance and control courses was very good. He showed considerable ability to independently undertake a programme of sustained research. He has good conceptual capability and also has a flair for analytical problem solving. He has balanced personality and leadership qualities particularly for performing group tasks. He has extensive experience in various aspects of Banking and has performed credit rating/credit granting and monitoring tasks diligently. He was involved in teaching in some of our programmes as well as at SBI staff college and his feedback has been very good. He has done his thesis in the area of impact of institutional trade in Indian capital Markets and has presented research papers in international conferences. He has aptitude as well as motivation to undertake professionally challenging tasks and has excellent inter-personal skills. His communication abilities (in English) both written and oral are very good. He has an excellent character and his conduct has been very good. I would rate him as belonging to the top 3 percentile of students I had come across in my professional career in the last thirty years. Given his academic background, professional qualifications and work experience, I am sure he will be an asset to any organization.
