    This bill proposes to allocate $800 for three University of Arkansas Associated Student Government members to attend the annual SEC Exchange conference at Texas A&M University, as three of the original six representatives chose not to attend. It establishes a selection panel consisting of one member from each ASG branch plus two advisors, to choose one applicant from the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches as well as the Fresh HOGS program. The purpose is to continue organizational involvement for ASG members through the 2013-2014 academic year and educate future ASG leaders.

    Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Bill No. 6 Authors: Senator Roxanne Hazelwood, Fresh HOG Grant Addison Sponsor: Senator Autumn Lewis The SEC Exchange Funding Act Whereas, SEC Exchange is an annual conference-wide gathering of student government representatives for the purpose of exchanging and developing initiatives that aim to benefit the student bodies of all concerned universities; and The University of Arkansas Associated Student Government (ASG) Executive Committee has currently set aside funds for six (6) student representatives to attend this years SEC Exchange conference at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas; and Three (3) of the six (6) previously committed student representatives to the conference have chosen to forego attendance so as to make available their spots to three (3) other ASG members, whom wish to continue their organizational involvement through the 2013-2014 academic year; and The Fresh HOGS program serves to educate and develop the future leaders of ASG and the University of Arkansas; then The ASG Senate shall allocate $800 for the travel and conference registration fees of the selected Senate applicant; and In order to maintain the intra-operative balance of this organization, applicants shall be selected by a 5-person panel consisting one (1) representative from each of ASGs three branches plus Advisor Trej and Graduate Assistant Gottshalk; and Each of the three ASG branches shall elect one (1) of its members to serve on the selection panel to choose one (1) applicant from each of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial
